An ice piedmont, 8 mi wide, to the E of Wyatt Hill, Bear Peninsula, on the Walgreen Coast, Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by USGS from surveys and USN aerial photographs, 1959-66. Named in 1977 by US-ACAN after Robert Hamilton, meteorologist, University of California, Davis; USARP Station Scientific Leader at South Pole Station, winter party 1975.
